Though we are rooted in Southern California, we derive inspiration from diverse geographies and have experience completing projects throughout the country and world. We offer expertise in plant design and maintenance, grading, drainage, accessibility, the design of custom furnishings, and elegant material assemblies. We provide experience in managing project phasing to ensure that complex projects can be accomplished on time and within budget.
We invite projects across scale and typologies, including gardens, interior planting, trails, play yards, public spaces, and streetscapes. We seek big ideas and enthusiastic collaborations. No project is completed alone; great work is made through clear communication and proactive teamwork.

Mike Tramutola
Founder
Studio founder, Mike Tramutola, is a licensed Landscape Architect with extensive experience completing projects of varied scale and typology including parks, schools, plazas, courtyards, hotels, and homes. He is a passionate advocate for the enrichment of children through play, and the need to provide safe and beautiful outdoor spaces for movement and collaborative activity.
Mike has taught part-time at the University of Southern California and California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, and is a frequent and enthusiastic visiting critic at academic design reviews. Mike enjoys mentoring young designers, and has lectured on design topics including 20th Century Modernist Landscape Architecture, Emergent Plant Diseases, Climate Appropriate Design to professional, design students and elementary school children.
Mike completed his master’s degree in landscape architecture at The University of Virginia after receiving a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies at Oberlin College.
